Kasma Daniel Secures ARRC SS600 Championship in Chiang Circuit Thriller
BURIRAM, Thailand - The final race of the 2025 FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) SS600 season at the Chang Circuit delivered one of the most nail-biting finishes in recent memory. Race 2 of Round 6 was an all-out war, not just for the race win, but for the coveted Championship Crown, with Adenanta Putra, Kasma Daniel, and Anupab Sarmoon all locking horns for the title.
The race began with championship leader Adenanta Putra displaying his trademark speed, establishing himself at the front and holding the provisional title advantage. However, the unforgiving nature of the final round struck a devastating blow. With the finish line agonizingly close on the final lap, Adenanta, who was suddenly struggling with pace, suffered a dramatic high-side crash, ending his race and, in a cruel twist of fate, his championship hopes. The exit of the leader opened the door wide for Kasma Daniel and Anupab Sarmoon to fight it out for the ultimate prize.
The battle for the final podium was intense, featuring a stunning three-way sprint to the line. Thanat Laoongplio of Thailand claimed the Race 2 victory, followed by Aldi Satya of Indonesia in second, and Anupab Sarmoon, also of Thailand, securing the final podium spot in third. In a fantastic demonstration of home-circuit advantage and skill, Thanat Laoongplio claimed the Race 2 victory. But the real drama unfolded just behind him. Meanwhile, Kasma Daniel crossed the finish line in a solid fourth position. Unaware of the final points tally, Kasma felt dejected, believing he had lost the championship.
"I thought it was over, I gave everything, but seeing Anupab finish in P3, I was certain the title was his," a relieved Kasma stated later.
However, the final calculation of the points revealed an astonishing outcome: Kasma Daniel and Anupab Sarmoon ended the season in an absolute tie, both finishing with 167 points!. Under the ARRC regulations for a points tie, the championship winner is decided by the countback method, comparing the number of higher-place finishes throughout the season. In a scenario where Anupab finished ahead of Kasma in this final, decisive race, the tiebreaker rule immediately came into effect. Kasma Daniel was awarded the 2025 ARRC SS600 Championship Title!
This victory means that, despite their identical points, Kasma held a superior record of wins, second-place finishes, or a combination of better results over the entire season when compared directly to Anupab.
“This is what racing is all about never give up until the very last meter. My team worked so hard, and to win it on a tie-breaker, it shows how competitive the season was. I feel for Adenanta, but this is a dream come true!” – Kasma Daniel, 2025 ARRC SS600 Champion.
The 2025 ARRC SS600 season will be remembered for its relentless pace, unexpected twists, and a breathtaking, championship-deciding tie that crowned Kasma Daniel as the new king of the class.
